Lowe Corporation Limited is a New Zealand based animal by-product
processing and marketing company. The company produces wet-blue
tanned cattle hides; wet salted, pickled and wet-blue sheep, lamb,
goat and deer skins; and the rendered products of tallow, meat
and bone meal, gel-bone and dried blood.
The company name changed to Lowe Corporation
Limited in 1998 after
Lowe Walker NZ Limited sold its meat processing assets to publicly
listed Richmond Limited. Lowe Walker NZ Limited was founded by
Mr. Graeme E.S. Lowe in 1964 and the company grew to become the
largest privately owned meat processing company in New Zealand.
Graeme Lowe is the Founder President and
Managing Director of Lowe Corporation Limited and his involvement
in meat processing, tanning, fellmongering and rendering stretches
over 40 years.
Lowe Corporation’s head office is
situated in Hastings where the marketing, shipping, operations,
accounting and finance functions are located. The Company operates
three tanneries, two fellmongeries and two protein rendering extraction plants in New Zealand and employs over 500 people at the peak of the production season.
New Zealand’s temperate climate
allows farmed animals to range all year round in a clean, green
environment. Good farming practices, in an ideal environment,
allow Lowe Corporation Limited to produce quality products that
are highly sought after in world markets.
